Emailing my word doc directly from word - Microsoft Community

whenever select share file email doc working on, message:"word unable mail document. please make sure mail program configured correctly , can send mail it." use google mail. checked email settings , seems ok still cannot this. works if first open email message , attach thedoc. looking "one-step share doc via email. can help?
you must have mapi compliant mail application configured default mail application able email directly word.
the outlook application included of office suites such application mozilla thunderbird. both of mail applications can configured make use of gmail account.
