Outlook data file cannot be accessed Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community

can stand alone outlook app fine , have received ms test messages fine.  when try send emails error message saying outlook data file cannot accessed.  not on onedrive have disabled.  not know if can receive emails because unable send 1 myself test.

there can several reasons why encounter issue. we'd learn more concern, can determine best solution or direct correct forum if needed. can provide answer following questions:

  • when did issue occur?
  • what exact error code or message getting?
  • what troubleshooting steps have done far?
  • can provide screenshot of concern?

in meantime, suggest unlink, re-link outlook account initial troubleshooting. can launch outlook app in safe mode, , see if issue persist.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
