Outlook 2016 randomly moving emails from inbox to archive - Microsoft Community

i have client exact same issue, emails randomly moving archive folder. owa focus inbox turned off, set policy in exchange default dmr not move emails archive folder still happens, no other policies set.

 outlook clean default install new profile, no archive or polices set on app.  has been going on weeks , microsoft 365 support has not been able figure out?

first , please run powershell retention policy used affected account . , post result via private message .

second , want know how did issue happen ? if emails moved archive in short time , please close outlook client , use owa . see if emails moved archive .

 

third , may know issue happen 1 account . if , suggest create new retention policy used affected account , using no retention tags . wait time , see if issue still occurs . if yes , please contact further assistance .
