Turn off autocorrect parentheses and brackets - Microsoft Community

when type open parenthesis <(>, square bracket <[>, or curly bracket <{>, microsoft word mac (version 15.33, office 365 subscription) automatically changes next closed parenthesis or bracket correspond open one. is, word match <)> <(>, etc. turn feature off, interferes in ways such following:

i write,

(the edition makes deletes bracket <{> (p10)),

but word autocorrects final parenthesis bracket such sentence reads,

(the edition makes deletes bracket <{> (p10)}.

can tell me how turn feature off?

based on test, it’s not feasible turn off stand alone feature in word mac.

we suggest share insights our uservoice. best way make our products , services better , others.

as workaround, can turn off autocorrect function, feature not work.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
