emails in outbox not being sent - Microsoft Community

hello,

i'm experimenting outlook. had incident other day had 4 emails in outbox weren't sending. send/receive wasn't working. noticed status disconnected. tried restarting outlook. before let me restart however, told me emails in outbox wiped if shut outlook down. before shutting down created "temp" folder , transfered emails there. restartd outlook. when opened temp folder, emails gone.

did googling. 1 site suggested putting emails drafts instead of new folder. did test. disconnected, composed email, clicked send, , watched sit in outbox. transfered email drafts, restarted outlook, got reconnected, move email outbox. it's still sitting there.

send/receive doesn't work, there's no option "send now" in context menu when right-clicking email. how 1 force outlook send emails manually placed in outbox?

  • are able send email when double-click on email, clicking the send button?

yes. didn't try before. i'm used emails being automatically sent when they're in outbox. tried suggestion , worked. thank you.

hi we have shared mailbox shared user , want use tasks of shared mailbox not updating when make changes. there solution this? hi karabotladi, when shared shared mailbox user, did grant permissions him? if share task user, on permissions tab, in name box, click name of person access want change. under permissions, in permission level list, choose permission level. if share shared mailbox user, use admin account log exchange admin center > recipients> shared> select , double click it> mailbox delegation> add user full access list. regards, vanessa Office / Outlook / Windows 10 / Office 365 for business

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
