Outlook name change - Microsoft Community

hi. microsoft account name different outlook.com account name , have been unable change outlook account name. when send email sends incorrect name.

everywhere else correct.

if you're having issue outlook account name incorrect, can walk through on how change display name email recipients see. display might show part of name if did not type full name when first set email account. follow steps below on how change it:

1. in outlook, choose file > account settings > account settings.
   
2. select email account want change, , choose change.
   
3. you can change of information on pop , imap account settings page, including name, email address, , password.
4. choose more settings > advanced to change other settings, such default ports used send , receive mail, server timeouts, , sent , deleted items options.
