hi,

i experienced same problem: when hit send button, email disappeared. i´ve checked sent , draft folders (without filters), , tried search without luck finding it. i´m running macos 10.13.1, outlook mac v. 15.40 , email exchange-account. 

when writing email used both mac, web-based mail.office365.com , samsung smartphone. while writing @ mac, noticed line spacing double when pushing enter line break. somehow formatting had changed.

after writing draft last evening, closed laptop without closing outlook. morning finished draft , hit send, , disappeared.

after googling issue, suspect reason connected either of two:
* earlier in thread users mention problems after copying info excel (and guess when coyping formatting changes).

* https://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/164710-sent-email-disappeared-into-black-hole  (even though case @ windows system)

hopefully find solution problem.

update. please try check issue via creating new draft email message in outlook 2016 mac determine whether can reproduce.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
