ActiveSync blocking custom contact ringtones & texttones? - Microsoft Community

opted use 3rd party email app (typeapp) had checkbox used activesync. when add hotmail account activesync checked, pulls in contacts etc native (samsung) contacts app. when edit individual contact, not give me option (normally under "view more") edit ringtones , texttones. options not present. when created email account *without* activesync checked, no contacts pulled in; email. added gmail account , *was* able use custom tones. after various online searches , several forum boards, i've come conclusion problem microsoft/activesync. so, can provide insight issue? note, able have custom ringtones etc on previous phone (lg v20 running nougat 7.1.2). using outlook email app. hmmm, interesting.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
