iphone 7 deleting server emails - Microsoft Community

is there set feature either on iphone or exchange eliminate emails being erased server when ii delete them iphon.  want clear phone, not laptop!  please help!

there several account types support email: pop, imap, , exchange. first 1 downloads messages inbox. there no folders involved pop. moreover, pop cannot sync; mail flows 1 way: server client (sending different process). imap , exchange handle folders , mail can flow in both directions whatever on client gets synched server , vice versa. imap mail , cannot handle calendar , contacts. exchange full-service protocol , syncs calendar, contacts, , email. so, bottom line is, if you're using imap or exchange, have no choice clearing phone , keeping things on server. that's way protocols designed work. way want change phone's account type of pop, lose contacts/calendar synching folders other inbox.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
