Error Sending Email As A Public Folder - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i have number of mail-enabled public folders have setup ability users send folder. has worked every time in past without issue. however, i've done again , had same error, after deleting , starting again.

we use office/exchange 365 exclusively server (no on-prem), , outlook 2016 locally, , user accounts , public folders part of same environment. therefore, i'm not surprised simple before, seems have stopped working. i've tried setting myself (i'm administrator on account), owner of public folder. however, error:

     bob sampson on 10/10/2017 13:21

message not sent. try sending message again later, or contact network administrator. not have permission send message on behalf of specified user. error [0x80070005-0x0004dc-0x000524].

i stumped going on there no reason error. have assigned myself rights under 'send as' in properties of public folder, do.

does have suggestions make work?

many thanks

bob

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj919240%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx?f=255&mspperror=-2147217396

you should grant either send or send on behalf folder. not both.
