Problem opening Office 15 docs (Windows 7) - Microsoft Community

i have office 2013, weirdly named office 15, on windows 7 computer.  it no longer let me open microsoft document (word, excel, or powerpoint) clicking on document directly. in order me access doc, have go to the application (e.g., via start menu pin) , open document.

when try double-click on a document directly, following happens. wild windows installer appears , prepares install something. several minutes later, error message says, "the windows installer service not accessed. can occur if windows installer not correctly installed."

how do i fix this?

error caused corrupted or missing windows installer. let's download , run msi troubleshooter automatically repair issues block program installation.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
