OneDrive Sync on fresh repave. - Microsoft Community

ok, using windows 10 pro.

onedrive on office 365 1tb cloud.

i have around 860gb on cloud.

because of work have periodically "re-pave" system , fresh install of software.

i have entire cloud drive on onedrive , local external drive.

i did re-pave last night of os (not data).

now, don't want spend 36hours re-downloading onedrive sync.

is there way tell onedrive not download exists in chosen local drive?

or other method?

because stands if sync drive spend next day or re-downloading , wasting space have delete.

based on information you've provided, spend hours resync onedrive. we'd know if you've tried map onedrive network drive on device. done keep files on onedrive, not on local machine, have apps or programs need local drive path work them. may follow steps below:

1. log in onedrive account here onedrive's root folder.
   
2. check url of page copy number following cid tag. see screenshot.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. go file explorer. right-click on this pc option , select map network drive. select drive letter have.
   
4. type https://d.docs.live.net/ followed cid string copied in folder field.
   
5. select connect using different credentials then click finish.
   
6. enter login credentials when prompted.

once setup done, may open this pc see newly created drive under network locations.

let know how goes after performing suggested steps.
