Can changing a display setting make Outlook 2013/2016 crash? - Microsoft Community

  helped friend improve layout of outlook inbox.

  did change view setting remove "one line preview" and 

  nudge around few column headings see more of "sender"

  field.

  think i've done wrong.

  there chance changing 2 simple display settings caused this?

hi,

there few reasons why outlook may crash. 1 of them if changes made triggered system conflict. isolate concern, we'd know if notice specific error messages when using outlook. also, able try troubleshooting steps yet?

in meantime, suggest repair office application control panel , check if helps resolve issue. click on link , follow steps provided depending on version of windows they're using.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
