Not receiving emails in Office 365 - Microsoft Community


three few days ago office 365 email stopped receiving emails. can still send them. happens regardless of whether i'm in outlook on mac, or on web version.

a friend got error message when trying email me:

s***@m***************.com
microsoft exchange has been trying deliver message without success , has stopped trying. please try sending message again, or provide following diagnostic text system administrator.

hi sam,

may know whether issue happen every incoming (internal/external) email or specific sender incoming email?

make sure inbound mail flow working correctly office 365 side. please using remote connectivity analyzer inbound smtp email test, follow these steps below: 

1. browse microsoft remote connectivity analyzer tool @ following website: https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/
2. select office 365 tab>under internet email tests > run test inbound smtp email. complete required fields on form, , click perform test.

provide detailed inbound test result , email domain (e.g. contoso.com) via private message further analysis.
