Word table of contents - Can I keep all TOC2 on the same page at their - Microsoft Community

hi all

i have documents have major headings toc1 distinguish between main areas of document. within each area of document are various other headings (toc2).

what table of contents keep toc2 entries toc1 above , not split on page.

in other words, if have toc1 8 toc2s below, 6 of these may appear on page 1 of table of contents , other 2 on page 2 of table on contents.

is possible keep these , force table of contents break before toc2 in above example?

i have tried experimenting 'keep next' , 'keep lines together' both toc1 , toc2 no avail.

i hope have explained enough.

thanks in advance if can help.

are unable combine tocs one? think can by by marking texts , building toc there.

so other members can help, can upload sample word file on onedrive or somewhere? may tinker exact format want do.
