Can receive but not send emails from Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


have pc , outlook 2016.  on outlook 2016, have 4 email accounts set up. until week ago, send , receive 4.  week ago, outlook.com account stopped letting me send message (i can still receive).  "this message not sent. not have permission send message on behalf of specified user. error [0x80070005-0x000004dc-0x00000524]."  have deleted account , re-enabled didn't work.

this error message occurs when don't have send permissions shared mailbox. suggest granting send permission user shared mailbox, , configuring shared mailbox. kindly check link for steps.

  1. This is not the correct answer to the problem. The user does not have a shared mailbox. The issue exists when adding a personal "outlook.com" address to Outlook desktop connected with an Azure Ad account. There is no resolution yet.
