Unable to access my email account - Microsoft Community

i tried open outlook 2016 check emails today , instead of opening got "cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open outlook window. set of folders cannot opened. file access denied. not have permission required access file c:etc..pst".

so tried local repair via programs in control box. nothing fixed; tried full repair (online) , found of office 365 had disappeared?. mildly annoyed, re-installed office, although reloaded, still no outlook. booted other pc (a imac) , started ms outlook, no problems , imported outlook ".pst" file other pc without trouble.

so removed traces of microsoft office problem pc; rebooted , reinstalled 365 office. no different.

why cannot open outlook delete ".pst" file or set new email account. have logged on administrator, message " file cannot found" , prompts me it; when select it, i'm told need app open it. seems logical file ok if can import outlook on imac, can wrong?

after running scan using bitdefender, noticed reported ransomware alert. moving outlook.exe trusted files seems have cured problem (see pic)

so have outlook back.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
