How can I burn CDs with the original recording gap structure? - Microsoft Community

using media player 12 mp3, seems options gaps during burn gaps or no gaps.  on original media however, tracks flow 1 next, have long gaps after them, , have no gap yet there 1 present.  i'd preserve details when burning cds, i'm not sure set that, if it's possible.

hi - if set 'no gaps' it should burn near enough copy of original files... should not cut out gaps intended there. having said have noticed many copies fail seamless flow of conjoined tracks - there millisecond blip between tracks- music individual tracks unlikely selected (e.g. floyd's 'dark side') have opted joining sequences in music editor* , saving parts 1 & 2.

if want to make discs on regular basis recommend buying handful of cd-rw discs can test-burn projects see if happy results.

cheers, ric.

* in recent times have been using 'audacity' for such work... details here.
