something has happened email attachments in outlook 2016.  using outlook on home computer, downloading messages both att.net , gmail.com addresses.  attachments have disappeared in last few days.  ideas on has happened?

attachments may go missing few reasons. in order isolate problem, we'll need few more details:

  • are getting error? if yes, error message? may provide screenshot.
  • were there changes made before issue started occurring?
  • have tried checking , installing office updates?
  • which email account type using? (pop3, imap, or exchange)
  • are new emails attachment affected? may try sending test email attachment.
  • in webmail, if still have emails, attachments missing?
  • have tried running online office repair? if not, see repair office application instructions.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
