Contacts/People sort inconsistent in Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community

in outlook 2016 names sort surname in 1 list , first name in another.   options set sort surname.  example, when looking email recipient, might find joe smith filed under 'j' if in "people' list, listed (as expected) under 's'.   have checked , rechecked options , input data no avail.  suggestions correct this?

things check actual values contained in individual firstname , lastname fields in contacts not sorting correctly.

also, confirm we're both on same page,

#1 - contacts not sorting correctly - in contact folder or in addressbook list?

#2 - if it's addressbook list, sort order set - first/last or fileas?

#3 - "options" referring - 1 found in file --> account settings --> options --> names & filing? if yes, should aware changing option not applied pre-existing contacts unless change applied 1 of name fields.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
